Déchetteries

The site of Ambérieu en Bugey is one of seven waste-recycling plants of the Communauté de Communes de la Plaine de L’Ain (federation of municipalities of the Ain départment) which contains 53 localities and 80,000 inhabitants. There are some 250,000

Challenge

Three issues needing to be addressed:- Impossible to distinguish between different types of user - Lack of security - Waste recycling site employees were obliged to act more as security agents than as their real role: to receive the public and assist them in sorting their waste. The federation of municipalities wanted to put into place a more secure and automated system to address these three issues.

Solution

The company Stackr offered a solution designed to be as simple as possible for both user and site manager. This solution is 100% automatized, the access control is based on the identification of vehicle license plates, carried out by SURVISION cameras.

Results

"The system installed provided us with greater comfort and allows us increase site fluidity and to manage the persons accessing it. It brings enhanced security, for both personnel and users. The system enables the waste recycling center employees to spend more time receiving the public, which is their principal activity", said Eric Voinot of Trialp (waste collection).
