SURVISION accompanies its clients for data protection procedures

December 2016

ANPR technology allows for the automatic processing of number plates, information considered personal by French law. As such, ANPR comes under the French act of 6 January 1978 on data processing, data files and individual liberties which is implemented by the CNIL (French National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties). SURVISION, a leading ANPR sensor manufacturer, has the necessary expertise to help its clients ensure that their installations conform to CNIL specifications.

SURVISION is an active member of the Association Nationale de la Vidéoprotection (AN2V) and is in regular contact with the CNIL. This allows us to provide information to clients who acquire SURVISION technology applications and to explain how legal provisions are to be respected during their implementation. This means that SURVISION can today offer its customers operating modes and explicative documentation on how to install the sensors while fully respecting the law.
